what we value
-
Because the Bible is God’s very Word, it is at the heart of everything we do.
-
We worship a God who relates to us through the grace of Christ as found in the gospel. Grace is how we get in, grace is how we stay in, and grace is what forever keeps us in.
-
We worship a Triune God who is, in himself, the definition of community: the Father, Son, and Spirit eternally communing together in love. God’s covenant people are called into the very community of God himself. It is there, in community with God and his people, that we most deeply experience the truth that “God is love” (1 John 4:8).
-
The Christian faith is not about pretense or posturing. It’s about truth that is both devastating and yet hopeful: we are more sinful and broken than we can imagine, yet simultaneously more loved and accepted in Christ than we can dream. We can be candid about our brokenness because God is candid about his love for us.
-
All our relationships and activities, under Christ’s kingship, are to be about loving God and loving our neighbor: neither of which happens by accident. We desire to be a covenant community who loves God, each other, and those outside the covenant community with thoughtfulness, care, skill, and compassion.
-
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever” (Hebrews 13:8). Christ’s constancy fuels the Christian’s hope for the future. And hope is scarce in today’s world. Though times and cultures ebb and flow, the ancient Faith remains the same. We desire to invite others into the stability and hope of an unchanging Savior.
