We have been so blessed to have been able to meet at the Patti Page location. It is a beautiful historic building. It is warm and inviting. It has an amazing yard for children to play and for adults to visit. A perfect place to start. And grow.

And, grow, we did. It became apparent that we had reached the brim of this location. There are no classrooms, the nursery is about 100 square feet, and the tiny bathroom requires walking around the building’s exterior during worship.

It was challenging to find a place that built on the strengths of our existing place, resolved the pain spots, and allowed a path for future growth.

Redbud is seeking to raise $70,000 to secure the downpayment and renovation costs of this facility. This opportunity is unique from many other capital/building campaigns in two important ways:

First, Redbud has access to matching funds from the denomination and local presbytery. For every dollar of the first $35,000 raised by Redbud, the ARPC will match up to $35,000. For every dollar beyond the first $35,000 raised by Redbud, the presbytery will match up to $35,000. Should Redbud meet its goal, this would mean $140,000 total would be available for downpayment and renovations.

Second, there will be no ongoing, multi-year capital campaign. Redbud is seeking one-time gifts by the scheduled closing date on May 28, 2024, after which the matching funds for the purchase will no longer be available.

We believe that this is a tremendous opportunity to grow a winsome, reformed, presbyterian church committed to the grace of the gospel of Christ, with deep roots in the practices and beliefs of the historic Christian faith; a church with the goal of planting other churches in northeast Oklahoma.
